Where do I even begin.
Carers started before an assessment was done. I had a male & female carer turn up. I didn’t think I would be getting a male carer as Iam a female. I asked him to not be in the room so he stayed in the hallway. Female carer didn’t support my arm resulting in it being dropped causing a great deal of pain. The lady doing the assessment turned up 1.45 minutes late and that was after I had to chase her up. At this assessment she told us they only had mixed sex carers and that I needed crisis medication and she would contact the nurses for this. I explained I didn’t need any end of life meds but she wouldn’t have it. When she left I emailed the office saying I didn’t want them involved.
They then back tracked saying I could have just female carers and that crisis meds weren’t down to them. This didn’t stop them sending out male carer again that evening followed by days of calls from the company. I had to ring the police in the end as I was very scared.

I have had a wonderful experience with Livingstone carers. I was quite nervous when my mum came home from hospital with a care package in place. From day 1, I felt at ease. Two carers came each time and quietly, respectfully and professionally looked after my mum. They have been a huge support for me too as I worried about taking care of my mum alone, just knowing they were coming each day was so reassuring.
I knew they would deal with any problem I may have had. They are brilliant at what they do, they are my heroes.
